Stalking the wild VATOBI - an Introduction
They are not a lost tribe, hidden in the inner depths of the wilderness, but are indeed a large segment of the Tennessee and national population. The VATOBI (Voters Against Their Own Best Interests) have a profound (if not profane) effect on our governance.
They vote against: workers rights, workplace and environmental safety, affordable healthcare, decent education for all, voting rights, reproductive rights, preventing another financial rodeo, consumer protections, social security, economic justice, human rights. When asked, they support these things but are blinded by the Foxlight on their screens and the misinformed noise surrounding it!
Succumbing to fear-mongering and manufactured mistrust, their confusion leads them to vote for those who would never represent them over the big money donors and PACS that really help buy that office. They are in danger of losing the power of the vote. Our mission: INFORM THEM before we all lose that power!
We don't seek to change any strong opinions, but to shine a light on the actions of those elected officials who are not serving their own constituents. We need all the help we can get. Our need is everyone's need - please join us!
