The Trump Phenomenum - Explaining the Unexplainable

What once was thought a joke turned into something quite momentous,
Was it a stunt to keep him warm 'tween seasons of Apprentice?
Seducing media coverage with outrageous statement baiting,
The corporate media loved the boost he gave to each one's rating!

Low-information voters found him seemingly authentic.
While statements flew, the pundits knew it was quite schizophrenic.
He tapped into the anger and frustration of the nation.
His vitriol spewed forth into election aberration.

He found himself in front of every GOP contender,
but that was not the plan of this celebrity pretender.
As he drew closer to the Presidential nomination,
he tried to self-destruct with more outrageous fabrication.

But every time he thought that he'd arrived at his undoing,
Support remained and his position always was renewing.
The GOP despite its shock did nominate this man,
but this was never part of  Donald's "yuuge" promotion plan.

He doesn't want the Presidency, for it would cramp his style.
He never studied, read, or fact-checked- rarely cracked a smile.
And so, my friends, please save him, for you are the final chooser.
